Shilpa Medicare is a fast growing pharmaceutical active ingredient manufacturing company engaged in manufacturing of world class pharmaceutical bulk drugs, under WHO-GMP guide lines. Our manufacturing plant is equipped to manufacture API’S and chemicals and having all the facilities of in house testing and R & D.

Shilpa Medicare is fully focused on R&D as a means to offer quality products at competitive price and also for development of new products. We undertake innovation of new products as per customers' requirement. The production technologies of all existing products have been developed in-house and the R&D efforts are aimed at developing highly efficient and cost-effective technologies and manufacturing processes.

The plant is equipped with multi-purpose glass lined and stainless steel vessels with capacities exceeding 400,000 ltrs and reactions that can be carried out in both acidic and basic conditions. The reactions are carried out at controlled temperatures by using a full range of utilities such as high to low steam (100ºC-150ºC) hot water (up to 90ºC) chilled water (5ºC) cooling water (30ºC) and brine (-40ºC).

Our highly skilled analysts evaluate and assure the quality of intermediates and products in laboratories fully equipped with modern and sophisticated analytical instruments such as high performance liquid chromatographs, gas chromatographs, UV spectrophotometers, infrared spectrophotometers, memo titrators, analysers etc.

A key element of successful process design is the minimization of environmental impact. Continuous process evaluation and monitoring and waste recoveries ensures that this focus is maintained in all the plants. Evolved gaseous wastes are treated with a scrubber and watery waste is processed in an activated sludge water treatment system . This also enables the recovery and recycling of any leftover chemicals, thus minimizing the possibility of polluting the waste water.

All this reflects the Company’s commitment towards developing innovative technologies and creating a knowledge base in chemical synthesis, high quality generic formulation and development of drug delivery systems.
